Lana Ullemeyer
Program Director | Teams: Intermediate / PreJuvenile / Aspire 3
Lana Ullemeyer grew up skating for the Forestwood Figure Skating Club in Parma and competed at the Juvenile, Intermediate and Junior levels. During this time, she was a Sectional Champion at the Junior level and a three-time national competitor.
She also skated at the Collegiate level, representing Bowling Green State University at four national championships. During her time in Bowling Green, she was a three-year captain, an athlete member of the U.S. Figure Skating Collegiate Committee and organized several Midwest Collegiate Conference Competitions. While in Bowling Green, Lana coached teams at the Beginner, Pre-Juvenile, Open Juvenile, Open Adult and Collegiate levels. She also taught group lessons and private lessons in Freestyle, Dance and Moves in the Field.
After moving back to the Cleveland area, Lana coached the Beginner, Pre-Juvenile and Intermediate teams at the Cleveland Skating Club for one season.
She is currently a teacher and has two sons, Patrick and Aidan.

Mia Bella Frisco
Teams: Intermediate / Preliminary / Aspire 3
Mia Bella Frisco is a Four-Time National Synchronized Skating Medalist earning the 2018 Intermediate National Gold Medal (Teams Elite), and three National Silver Medals in 2019 Intermediate, 2019 Novice (cross skater-Teams Elite), and most recently in 2024 as a Senior Elite 12 competitor (Hockettes).
She is a U.S. Figure Skating Double Gold Medalist in Senior Moves in the Field and Senior Solo Free Dance, plus completed Pre-Gold Partnered Pattern Dance.
Mia is a Three-Time Preliminary Midwestern Sectional Bronze Medal Coach (2022, 2023, 2024) for Cleveland Ice Storm and has been coaching teams ranging from Aspire to Intermediate since 2021.
Coach Mia began her skating journey in 2005 at the early age of 2 1/2, and her USFS Synchronized skating career in 2009 at age 6 in Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin at the RecPlex Ice Arena.
Specializing in Skating Skills, Pattern Dance and athletes pursuing Synchronized Skating, Mia has been coaching private students and Learn to Skate since 2019 in Wisconsin and Florida, and since 2021 at the North Olmsted Recreation Center. In December of 2023 Coach Mia was offered the opportunity to help with the coordination of the Learn to Skate USA program for the North Olmsted Recreation Center, as well as assist in the organization of the annual North Olmsted City Ice Show.
Born and raised in the Midwest, Coach Mia is so excited to be living in the Cleveland area now since 2021. She finds the most joy in sharing her love of skating with other athletes who enjoy being on the ice as much as she does and working hard to help them progress to their highest level of achievement in the sport.
Miranda Hoy
Teams: PreJuvenile / Preliminary / Aspire 2
Miranda Hoy has coached for the Cleveland Ice Storm (formerly Cleveland Edges) since 2016. She has coached the aspire, preliminary, pre-juvenile, and novice levels with the club. In 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024 her preliminary teams placed third at the Midwestern Sectional Championship.
Looking back, Miranda skated for the Cleveland Edges on a variety of their youth teams from 2005-2012. She is grateful to have returned to her home club as a coach and skater for the United Ice Adult team.
From 2012-2016, she skated for The University of Norte Dame’s Open Collegiate and Collegiate teams while attending Saint Mary’s College. In 2017 and 2018, her Open Collegiate teams placed first at the Midwestern Sectional Championships. During her time with The Fighting Irish, she was club president and competition chair. Notably, she helped organize the 2015 Tri-State Synchronized Skating Championship hosted at the Compton Family Ice Arena. Miranda also assisted in forming and coaching the Junior Irish beginner synchronized skating team.
In 2016 Miranda earned her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education from Saint Mary’s College. In 2021 she earned her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Development from The University of Cincinnati.
Outside of her experience with synchronized skating, Miranda was the Learn to Skate coordinator for the North Olmsted Recreation Center from 2017-2024. Miranda has taught learn to skate in a variety of locations since 2008. During her time as coordinator, North Olmsted’s program was named the largest in the state of Ohio, with over 500 members registered. Miranda currently organizes and directs the annual North Olmsted City Ice Show, which traditionally rosters over 150 figure skaters from the Northeast Ohio area.
Presently, Miranda is an elementary school teacher full time. She lives in the Cleveland area with her husband and two sons.
Katie Lepis
Teams: Open Juvenile / Aspire 2
Katie Lepis began skating at 4 years old at her home rink in San Diego, CA. She started synchro at 9 years old when a new team was created at her rink. She is a seven time synchro national competitor, senior level Team USA Competitor in the 2013-14 season, and has skated on teams from Open Juvenile through Senior level. Katie moved to Ohio when she attended Miami University, earning a bachelors degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Nutrition, and competed both synchro and intercollegiate.
Katie began coaching at 16 and has coached learn to skate, freestyle, moves in the field, and synchro teams from Aspire 1 through Open Collegiate.
Katie has a Masters degree in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy and when she is not on the ice, you can find her managing the Vision Rehabilitation department of the Cleveland Sight Center.
Alissa Mariage
Teams: Adult / Open Juvenile / Aspire 4 / Aspire 1
Alissa Mariage is a Double Gold Medalist in Freestyle and Moves in the Field. Growing up, Alissa and all three of her sisters skated for the former club, known then as “The Riverettes”, “The River Golden Blades” and “The Cleveland Edges” until leaving for college.
Alissa is a Miami University graduate with a degree in Health and Sports Studies and a minor in Coaching; class of 2008. During her time at Miami, Alissa skated on the Collegiate Synchronized Skating team where she helped lead the team to four straight U.S. National Championships. Cumulatively, Alissa and her sisters earned 9 National Titles during their time at Western Michigan and Miami University.
After graduating, Alissa moved back home to Cleveland to pursue her dream of coaching full-time and has been working with skaters in synchro and private lessons since. To date, she has coached 27 students to achieve Gold Medals in Skating Skills (formally called Moves in the Field) and 10 students to achieve Gold Medals in Solo Free Dance! She has helped coach two National Qualifying Juvenile teams (2011 and 2023) and coached and competed with the United Ice Adult team at Nationals in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022!
Alissa resides in Parma with her partner John, their son, Graham (born in 2023), and their Labradoodle, Alf.
